Finished in handsome oiled walnut and stretching an impressive 61 inches wide, the elegant console beautifully reflects the optimism and craftsmanship of America's golden age of television.
Soft lamplight dances across the wood-paneled walls while a colorful braided rug rests upon the polished hardwood floor. Gathered comfortably before the set, children sit spellbound by the magical glow of the picture tube. Perched atop the console, a classic rabbit-ear antenna reaches toward the ceiling, faithfully pulling in the signal that brings one of television's most beloved programs into the home.
Glowing brilliantly on the 23-inch CM Picture Tube is a treasured black-and-white episode of Howdy Doody. The familiar characters come to life with remarkable clarity thanks to the advanced Super MR6 Television Chassis, one of Curtis Mathes' finest engineering achievements. Rich television sound fills the room while the rugged Super 14B Hand-Wired Power Transformer provides the dependable performance that owners came to expect from premium American-built electronics.
